Això no és música [That's not music]

Throughout the residence, Agnès Pe proposed a series of experiments and processes to students which explored the limits of the distinction between music and sound, and which delved deeply into corporeality and the physical elements of sound. The final work, entitled Això no és música [That's not music], was a journey through some of these experiments and an exploratory sound performance using elements such as contact microphones, feedback sound, percussion and an acoustic laptop made by the students themselves. The laptop is an amplified resonance box, made from a contact microphone and a series of small items (elastic bands, clips, etc.)

Presentation
(6 June 2019, Espai Jove Boca Nord)

Això no és música was presented on the afternoon of 6 June at the Espai Jove Boca Nord, a facility that was keen to play host to us and which some students already knew, as most of them came from the El Carmel and La Teixonera neighbourhoods. During the performance, a rather varied audience walked through the interior of the room while various performances took place, thought up by the creator and the students. The presentation concluded with a small percussion improvisation followed by a round of questions in the bar area.
