Agnès Sales i Héctor Plaza IN RESiDENCE at the School Escola La Mina
instagram.com/agnessales.hectorplazaAgnès Sales (Barcelona) and Héctor Plaza (Valladolid, 1991)
Agnès Sales and Héctor Plaza are a Barcelona-based dance company that began their collaboration in 2016 with the street piece ‘Ehiza’. This artistic collaboration revealed many shared interests and ideas, motivating them to unite their visions and to define themselves as a hybrid company. Their roots lie in urban dance, especially breakdancing, although they are also influenced by contemporary dance, partnering and acrobatics.
Always curious and eager to explore, they focus on investigating the beauty of simple things in everyday life and the use of the body as a means of communication. They seek to unite the concrete with the abstract to reflect on the different realities in which we live. For Agnès and Héctor, the stage is a place of play where they reflect on questions and thoughts arising from their experiences, seeking balance and synergy between dance and other artistic disciplines.

School Escola La Mina
https://agora.xtec.cat/ins-esc-santadria/The Escola La Mina School (Sant Adrià de Besòs) is participating for the first time in IN RESiDENCE. In 2018, the name of the school was chosen by the educational community itself, in a participatory process in which a large majority chose to name it after the historical name of the neighbourhood, La Mina, which refers to the water fountain that used to be close to where the school is located.
