Cia Aina Lanas IN RESiDENCE at the School Antaviana

Dancer, choreographer and movement director, trained in classical, urban and contemporary dance in Spain, USA, Japan and Senegal. She graduated in photography at the IDEP School in Barcelona and is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at the UOC.
Keen on improvisation, choreography and specifically on stage creation, she has worked as an interpreter and co-creator of movement in companies such as: Kulbik, Jazzbetween, InMotus, Africa Moment, Piny Orquidaceae, Núria Guiu or LaCerda, touring internationally with many of her shows. She has teamed up with musical projects such as Raquel Lúa and Alex Serra, participating in their live performances and music videos.
She directs her own video dance projects, winning three international awards for “Best Choreography”, “Best Short Film” and “Grand Award” at the Homescreen Festival in San Diego for her latest project “Desasosiego”.
She has taught Urban Dances in the Higher Degree in Choreography at the Institut del Teatre and works for the music industry, TV, advertising and brands, as a dancer and movement director.
She runs her own project Cia Aina Lanas, where she has directed pieces such as Aye-Nah, MAWU and Sosiego. She has been invited to festivals such as: Deltebre Dansa (ES), La Machine (CR), Nòmada (SV), Mercè (ES), Sismògraf (ES), Loop (PT), Dança Almada (PT), Grec Festival (ES), SchaubudenSommer (GER), Spoffin (NL), etc.
Currently, she is a member of the creative and production team “Si Los Martes Fueran Viernes”, having contributed to productions such as: “Casa Nostra”, “The Royal Battle”, “Antes que se acabe el mundo” and “Festival Enemigos Íntimos” between Barcelona and Buenos Aires.
She was awarded the prize for ‘Best dancer’ at the Premis de la Crítica 2023 for her latest creation with the WAN company, “You are not a Ghost”.

School Antaviana
https://escolantaviana.orgThis is the seventh time in a row that l'Antaviana (les Roquetes, Nou Barris) has taken part in IN RESiDENCE. Previous editions have featured Nora Ancarola and Marga Ximénez, Sebastián García Ferro, Eulàlia Garcia Valls, Octavi Serra, Luís Tabuenca and Si Los Martes Fueran Viernes. They are now participating in the programme with a group of 3rd year secondary school students.

Escola Antaviana School is known for its educational approach which considers inclusion and attention to diversity as one of its key objectives. The student population represents a broad cross-section of the neighbourhood's social spectrum and shows a high degree of diversity regarding individual educational needs and socio-economic background. In addition, Antaviana has strong links with families, the neighbourhood and its facilities, such as the Ateneu de Nou Barris, which is a point of reference for the whole of its educational community.
