The starting point for all the work of reflection and creativity involved in the residency was a video posted on the social networks in which some school pupils at Myton School (United Kingdom) film themselves as they intercept a group of migrants and celebrate their arrest. The analysis process culminated in a publication produced so that it could serve as educational material and a resource for working on with young people, especially for pupils at Myton School (where the students who filmed the video and posted it online came from).
For this reason, the final publication was sent to Myton School in a collective action by the pupils together with Daniela Ortiz, and this action was also filmed and posted on Internet.
Presentation
The publication was presented at La Caníbal bookshop at 7 pm on May 21. Those present included the pupils' friends and families and some of the teachers from the school, as well as figures from the world of culture and people linked to other residencies and representatives from ICUB and Barcelona Education Consortium.
The presentation was organised so that a dialogue was established between the book's authors (the pupils and Daniela Ortiz) and the audience. This resulted in several people at the bookshop event asking questions and giving their opinions. Both the pupils and Daniela Ortiz answered these questions and added information and sections to the publication.
Before the presentation, a video was shown of the pupils as they sent copies of the book to their counterparts at Myton School.
