Denise Duncan IN RESiDENCE at the School Sants

As a playwright, I want to focus the creative process of this residency on dramatic writing. I would like the writing to be based on the students' personal process. We will start from the perspective of life and the world that these people have. How can we convert our personal vision of the world into a play? What are their concerns? What is troubling them? What would they want the world to know about their generation and their views, their joys, their reflections? This process provides a theoretical, but above all a practical basis to begin to write about them.

Although it is early days, I would like to split the sessions into two parts. The first part focuses on writing from stimuli: how to start, how to face the blank page, how to incorporate stimuli into the work, how to structure a dramatic text, etc. The second part will share basic acting techniques: concentration and focus exercises, how to work on characters, group games, etc.
