Equal Saree IN RESiDENCE at the School Infanta Isabel d’Aragó
equalsaree.orgEqual Saree (Barcelona, 2010)
Equal Saree is a team of architects with different specialities that combine a multidisciplinary vision that encompasses urban planning, gender studies, artistic and community mediation and artistic practices. Feminism and co-creation are the two key concepts that run through all our projects, ranging from training and participatory processes to architectural design and construction. We have been working in Barcelona since 2010 at local, regional and international level. In 2020, we opened a new branch in France.

School Infanta Isabel d’Aragó
www.iesinfanta.orgL'Infanta Isabel (Sant Martí de Provençals) is taking part in IN RESiDENCE for the seventh time, and it is doing so with a group of 4th year secondary school students. This school already participated in the first edition of IN RESiDENCE (2009-2010), which resulted in the play ‘Deu mil hores’, with Salvador Juanpere. The creative process helped to establish many of the elements that have become characteristic of the programme. Subsequently, it has hosted the residencies of Antònia del Río (2013-2014), Martí Anson (2015-2016), Tanit Plana (2021-2022), Paulina Flores (2022-2023) and Marina Rubio (2023-2024).

L'Infanta Isabel d'Aragó was founded in 1962 to provide education for the children of working-class families who had settled in the neighbourhood, born in the urban sprawl of Barcelona towards the Besòs River. The educator and scientist Angeleta Ferrer (Barcelona, 1904 - 1992), was a teacher and headmistress of the centre during its first few years of existence.
