Equal Saree IN RESiDENCE at the School Infanta Isabel d’Aragó

FEMINIST URBANISM, IMPACTS AND ARTISTIC ACTIONS

What is the collective imagination of public space? How does it affect us and how can we influence how we design our territories? What space do we occupy as teenagers on our streets?

This residency aims to raise personal and collective awareness of the physical and social construction of public spaces, the gender and intersectional inequalities we experience and their impact on our daily lives. Using the body as the territory of our experiences and emotions, we will reflect on and combine theory and practice from feminist urban planning and collective artistic actions in the classroom and public space.

The development of the residency is framed around the concept of Inclusive, Diverse and Caring Cities, specifically addressing the teenage period, which is a key moment in life that has been invisible in the processes of urban transformation throughout the history of most of the territories. We are committed to transformative education which is a key tool for social transformation when applied to the collective processes of raising awareness about the spaces we inhabit.
