The residency at Institut Comas i Solà secondary school was divided into two parts, led by two artists. These artists were: Erick Beltrán during the first part; and Mireia c. Saladrigues over the last two months of the academic year.
The project proposed by Erick Beltrán opened up a process of thought about the life of Kaspar Hauser, the historic character who would become the central theme of the residency. Accordingly, discussing the learning processes undergone by Kaspar Hauser, who had to learn and unlearn his relations with the world after being kept in captivity for sixteen years, the pupils began to question the supposed objectivity with which we perceive the world, and how our knowledge of it is constructed. Erick Beltrán planned the residency around a series of short exercises, aimed at exploring concepts like our perception of colour, space, time, form, etc.
During a second stage in the residency, the exercises were organised in such a way as to draw up a conceptual map on Kaspar Hauser, which finally became the core of the publication.
