Juana Dolores IN RESiDENCE at the School Escola Eixample
In the programme EN RESIDÈNCIA I will continue to explore the interview as an artistic format, as a literary genre in particular and as an audiovisual genre in general. An interview is a gesture that legitimises and recognises, in agreement or disagreement, the individual or collective identity that personifies the interviewee and places them in a privileged context in terms of the possibilities of self-presentation and self-representation. Today, in the post-Internet era, the construction and exhibition of the Self, constantly presented and represented on digital platforms and social media, has become, almost, a practice that is not only common but inevitable, somewhat mandatory, which marks the generations of the 2000s onwards. Therefore, in this project, I would like to take the biography as a starting point. Say it and un-say it, assert it and question it, imagine it, investigate and reflect on self-perception and class consciousness, influenced by the capitalisation of personality and the bureaucratisation of life, which develops, in one way or another, in the teenage years.
