Llàtzer Garcia IN RESiDENCE at the School L’Alzina

He has also directed his own theatrical texts: Au revoir, Lumière (Ciutat de Sagunt Prize), Sweet nothing (Ciutat d’Amposta Prize), Vent a les veles (Marqués de Bradomín Prize, Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid), Ens hauríem d’haver quedat a casa (Festival Temporada Alta, Sala Muntaner), Kafka a la ciutat de les mentides (Festival Grec), La terra oblidada (Ciutat de Gandia Prize, Sala Flyhard), La pols (Critics Award and Serra d’Or Award, Sala Flyhard / La Villarroel / Teatro Fernán Gómez), Sota la ciutat (Teatre Lliure), L’última nit del món (Sala Flyhard), Els nens desagraïts (Critics Award, Sala Beckett) and Els somnàmbuls (Festival Temporada Alta). He has also adapted texts by Ray Bradbury, James Joyce and Arnold Wesker.
He directed the film La pols [Dust], which premiered at the Màlaga Film Festival and later won the Jury and Audience Awards at the Festival Nuovo Cinema Europa in Genoa. He has given workshops and seminars at the Sala Beckett, the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC), the ERAM university school and the Col·legi del Teatre. Some of his works have been translated into Spanish and English.

School L’Alzina
www.alzina.catThis is the second year running that IES Alzina (El Congrés i els Indians, Sant Andreu) has taken part in IN RESiDENCE with a group of 3rd-year compulsory secondary education (ESO) students. After Marc Artigau’s creation process, the school is again opting for contemporary drama.

The L’Alzina Institute was launched in 1982. It is located at one end of the Sant Andreu district, and borders the Navas neighborhood and the Nou Barris and Horta-Guinardó districts. It currently has three ESO and two high school courses.
