The sound installation Fustes, cordes i motors [Wood, Strings and Motors] is formed by a series of wooden instruments and nylon strings driven by motors and mechanisms. Their movement drives the strings in the different structures that, through contact microphones, generated a sound that is amplified by a mixing desk and loudspeakers.

The sound installation is accompanied by several other works and materials. These are, firstly, the audio of a piece produced and mixed by the pupils, and all the materials used in the creative process (from small preliminary sound constructions made in preparation for the final installation to recordings of sound exercises performed over the course of the academic year in this subject).

Presentation
The project was presented in the main hall of the Convent de Sant Agustí community centre at 7 pm on Friday, June 27. At this presentation, the pupils explained part of the creative process and how the piece was designed, and the artists closed the event. The presentation was attended by families and friends of the participating students and teaching staff from the school, as well as representatives from ICUB and Barcelona Education Consortium, and people linked to the world of culture.
