Magda Puig Torres (Castellbell i el Vilar, Barcelona, 1982) is a graduate in Dramatic Art from the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and a Graphic Design graduate from the ESDI in Sabadell. She trained in Cultural Management at the Miguel de Cervantes European University. She is the co-founder of the Les Bianchis company.

She is part of the Cultura i Conflicte group, a multi-disciplinary team that creates performing arts, audiovisual, photographic and journalism projects.  Her personal artistic research consists of exploring mixed creative territory that comes somewhere between live art and visual art. Along these lines she created Vilart, a rural live-art and visual-art festival.

She is currently working on the creation of “Encara hi ha algú al bosc” [There is still someone in the forest], a project that tackles the sexual violence used as a weapon of war in the Balkans.

In 2016, she received a Generalitat of Catalonia Performing Arts Investigation and Research grant, with which she created Plácido Mo #Terrassa, co-produced by the TNT Festival, an urban-art documentary that made interventions in public areas and looks at the city from the viewpoint of homeless people.

As an actress, she has worked on Jane Eyre, in the Teatre Lliure in Gràcia, directed by Carme Portaceli; Frankenstein, in the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, directed by Carme Portaceli; Històries dʼIstanbul, by Yasim Ozöy, in the Teatre Lliure in Gràcia; Gran Rifa dʼun fabulós viatge a Mèxic, by the Teatro Ojo (Mexico) and Obskené (Barcelona) theatre companies, an international co-production by Fira Tàrrega and the San Luis Potosí Arts Centre (Mexico), with the support of the Government of Catalonia and Iberescena, among others.

After the residencies of Iván Morales and En Diciembre, this is the third time that the Joan Fuster secondary school (Navas, Sant Andreu), has taken part in the IN RESiDENCE programme, with 2nd year ESO students, once again in the context of dramaturgy and the performing arts.

The Institut Joan Fuster (Navas, Sant Andreu), created in 1995, is named after one of the most notable Valencian intellectuals of the 20th century. It is housed in the building of the former Col·legi Juan Bosco, next to the church of the same name, designed on Avinguda Meridiana by the architects Ricard Sancho Beltran and Francesc Escudero Ribot in the mid-1970s.
