MANS O IN RESiDENCE at the School Escola el Til·ler
MANS O - Path of Least Resistance (Sónar 2019)MANS O is Roman Daniel Esteba. Thanks to his early cultivation of drawing, dance, the use of a Discman and his interest in musical creation and hip-hop culture, he is now able to bring all his skills to bear on his musical project, which is always of a changeable and inter-disciplinary nature. He is a Design graduate and a teacher of new trends at Elisava. He tries to question cultural conditions based on improvisation and stimulating the senses in a vorticular way. His first official release led to him playing at Sónar 2015, as well as DJing at the Boiler Room, travelling to Sant Sebastian, Madrid, Austria, Germany, Holland, and Belgium, as well as playing at a number of festivals and venues in Barcelona and its surrounding area. In recent years, he has developed his most extensive multi-disciplinary project, first presented at Sónar 2019, and he is now working with brands like Apple, always keeping in contact with creative people and performing artists and continuing to take part in various collaborative projects. Today, with his recent Dos Orejas Mixtape and collaborating in processes with local artists, as well as in the production of Ikram Bouloum’s debut performances (represented by Canada), he has become established as an innovative producer of urban sounds. He is currently preparing a new release under the Portuguese label XXIII, in which each track includes two performances from members of his inner circle. He is also putting the finishing touches to the second part of the Wesphere project.
