Marina Congost IN RESiDENCE at the School Escola Turó de Roquetes
“Un dia, jo” (One day, I) is the initial name proposed by Marina Congost for this creation process, with a special interest in working on issues related to the construction of cultural identity and its representation. This starting point aims to move this “I” to the youngsters and their history to reflect on broader subjects. It is intended to give the greatest importance to history and their story (as individuals and as a group), and also play with the concept of truth and lies, as well as with the fine line between reality and fiction. The strength of the stories that we are told and that we tell, which we often believe as great truths, will be called into question. As well as observing how these stories also generate empathy and connection with one other. In summary: stories, truth and lies.
