Natalia Domínguez IN RESiDENCE at the School La Ribera

Natalia Domínguez's artistic practice, from installation, sculpture and sound, delves into the material and emotional relationships inherent in contemporary post-industrial landscapes, revealing systems of meaning and relational networks between subject and object.

Based on a speculative stance that focuses on the power relations that run through our things, her work constructs transitory spaces and states to explore the subtle, contradictory and vulnerable relations that are generated between all that is human and all that is inanimate.

Currently, she is looking at how the contemporary materialities of air pass through her, starting from the idea that the air we breathe is no longer a natural, formless and natural element of the biosphere, but the result of a series of oppressive and extractive conditions produced by human action.
