Sebastián García Ferro IN RESiDENCE at the School Antaviana

A creator who researches and experiments through a variety of disciplines. Dance, physical and visual theatre, videos and sound design are regular features of his creations. As a choreographer, he is associated with La Caldera - Les Corts. He is also an artistic collaborator with L’Auditori, the resident composer at the Pompeu Fabra Unversity's Phonos Foundation and artistic director of the Barcelona International Dance Exchange (BIDE), a platform for choreographers, dancers and performers forming part of festivals and facilities in Europe, Asia and America.

School Antaviana
https://escolantaviana.orgThe Institut Escola Antaviana (Les Roquetes, Nou Barris) is taking part in the IN RESiDENCE programme for the second time, with 2nd year ESO students. It participated for the first time during the programme's tenth edition (2018-2019), with the creators Nora Ancarola and Marga Ximénez.

Escola Antaviana School is known for its educational approach which considers inclusion and attention to diversity as one of its key objectives. The student population represents a broad cross-section of the neighbourhood's social spectrum and shows a high degree of diversity regarding individual educational needs and socio-economic background. In addition, Antaviana has strong links with families, the neighbourhood and its facilities, such as the Ateneu de Nou Barris, which is a point of reference for the whole of its educational community.
